The adjectives for countries in Spanish, known as ‘gentilicios’, are used a lot more than in English. While in English is very common to hear sentences like “I’m from Argentina” or “I’m from the US”, Spanish-speakers tend to use the gentilicio much more often. Ex.: “Soy argentina” =I’m Argentinian, “Es ecuatoriana” =She’s Ecuadorian.
